The Senior Program Associate will be responsible for managing, developing and implementing content for training and technical assistance projects. This role will also be responsible for the coordination, management, oversight and delivery of education, training, consultation, and technical assistance services.
Essential Tasks/Responsibilities:
Manage, develop and implement training and technical assistance.
Present at various events, offerings and conference.
Lead identified projects from inception to conclusion.
Oversee and work closely with partners and consultants.
Oversee activities to coordinate, facilitate, and support the development and presentation of training, learning collaborative and technical assistance projects and initiatives.
Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings and events, including scheduling, booking rooms, preparing materials, and setting up conference calls.
Organize and manage logistics (e.g., travel, accommodations, conference rooms, catering, etc.)
Participate in planning and problem-solving activities with program level staff and managers in the design, delivery, and implementation of statewide cross-organizational learning and training initiatives and evidence-based practice and organizational change models.
Organize, prepare, coordinate, schedule and attend designated internal and external departmental meetings on an as-needed basis to strategize, troubleshoot, and provide feedback.
Coordinate and participate in meetings with members of various project workgroups to review and discuss implementation of initiatives, skills to facilitate and maintain progress towards project goals and identified deliverables.
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and keep project team well informed of changes and lessons learned from various events.
Remain informed and up-to-date on the forefront of emerging industry practices and seek and participate in professional development opportunities.
Responsible for the oversight and implementation of webinars, communication tools (emails and bulletins), and website updates, including pulling together reports and data entry.
General admin support including but not limited to: crafting and editing of presentations, oversight of listservs/email lists, providing customer/tech support to training participants, maintaining calendars and meeting summaries.
Support breadth and depth of training offerings and their promotion by working with the website and infrastructure manager as needed
Work with Learning Management Systems manager and other software leads to support the further development of these training methods
Develop, plan and implement more systematic evaluation and ensure reporting requirements are met with the McSilver Evaluation team
Compile data and assist with organizational assessments and grant reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned
Contract Management
Lead the administrative management of contracts, which includes working with McSilver's Administrative and Financial Teams
Create, prepare, review and ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained
Develop and coordinate scopes of work and deliverables for outside consultants as needed
Provide oversight, communication, and management of program consultant contracts.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to present on identified topics and areas of expertise
Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments and perform against deadlines
Ability to lead and supervise a project team including internal and external partners
Able to work in teams as well as independently as and when required
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and community agencies
Ability to adapt under different situations and exercise stress tolerance skills
Master's Degree in health related field or demonstrated minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team, managing a program or major projects, and working with state or local government entities
Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office and G Suite
Familiarity with Zoom and Webex video conferencing platforms
Displays strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of records systems a plus
Ability to travel
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Currently, NYU McSilver is operating on a hybrid schedule, all staff are expected to be on-site 3 days a week.
