The Assistant Simulation Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Experiential Learning and in collaboration with the UG and Graduate Simulation Center Coordinators, Learning Resource Coordinators, undergraduate and graduate faculty to assist with providing administrative and technical support for simulation center operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administrative support includes but is not limited to: o Assist with maintaining the calendar of events for the simulation center. o Assist with scheduling of students. o Manage databases o Maintain records or repairs and upgrades. o Assist with packaging nursing skill supplies.
- Technical/simulation support may include; o Assist with technical assistance to support experiential learning experiences in the Simulation Center days possible evenings and Saturday during the academic year. o Assist with ongoing maintenance of simulation technology o Support in role playing, placement of props and moulage set-up.
- Assist with special projects or initiatives as directed. - Assist the Director of Experiential Learning with equipment sourcing. - Assist staff and faculty with development of new skill modules.
Education / Experience:
- Associate degree in technology, technology education or a health-related field is required.
- Associate degree or LPN license preferred
- Previous simulation lab experience not required
- Must be able to independently move equipment (<25 pounds)
Competencies / Skills:
Familiarity with computer hardware and software applications relevant to an office environment. Coordination, collaboration, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Physical Demands: - Normal sitting, standing, and walking throughout the course of the day. - Periods of extended computer and telephone usage. - Requires dexterity and data entry skills. - Requires familiarity with health care technology and simulation center laboratory equipment.
- Lifting requirement to <25 pounds.

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday, possible Saturdays and evenings: 35 hours per week
9-month appointment during academic year August-May
