This Behavioral Health Social Worker is assigned to the Buffalo VA Emergency Department (ED) & Inpatient Psychiatric Unit with the responsibility to provide direct services for Veterans and their families. As a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team in the ED and on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, the individual conducts work using his/her educational training and clinical experience, adhering to VA policies and Joint Commission standards in administering direct services. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
