The IGS Communications and Events Specialist will lead events management and assist in executing internal and external communications strategies across digital and print marketing channels.
Tasks will include:
In collaboration with the IGS Marketing and Communications Director, lead development of outreach strategies in support of IGS events and research, and conduct promotional outreach to key audiences, including energy, climate, and sustainability scholars; community organizations; media; and industry.
Lead content development and promotion of IGS events, including coordination with internal and external partners, promotional content development (e.g. event blurbs, signage, summary blog posts, etc.), logistics including technical needs and photographer/videographer coordination, and outreach.
Manage social media accounts, including day-to-day content strategy and creation that includes drafting posts and designing collateral.
Manage website content and regular updates in support of events and research marketing.
Manage internal communications mechanisms, including regular updates to IGS email lists for the purposes of event marketing and communications with internal and external stakeholders, and management of communications calendar.
Required Skills A cover letter is required for consideration.
Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of experience.
This position is based in Boston and requires an in-person presence minimally three days per week.
