Reporting to the Executive Director of Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director serves as the lead prospective graduate student recruiter and admissions representative to advance the continued growth of WCU’s graduate programs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in admissions or prospective student recruitment, experience working in CRM platforms, excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Include:
Develop, implement, and monitor all aspects of admissions for specific graduate programs
Create and implement recruitment strategies
Attend recruitment events including college fairs, open house informational sessions, on-line webinars, and chats
Utilize CRM (Slate) for recruitment management
Build and maintain communication plans to follow up with prospective students and applicants for assigned graduate programs
Facilitate information sessions
Conduct individual appointments with prospective students
Implement virtual and on-campus recruitment and admitted student yield activities
Build relationships with graduate coordinators
Respond to email and calls pertaining to specific graduate programs
Build relationships with outside constituents including professional associations and employers
Collaborate with other campus partners regarding recruitment activities
Track and analyze program enrollment trends in collaboration with graduate program coordinators and department chairs
Collaborate with the Executive Director of Graduate Admissions, Graduate Systems and Data Project Manager, and Director of Enrollment Communications with Slate related projects
Serve as an admission point of contact for prospective international students
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Two years of professional higher educationexperience
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience using CRM platforms including Slate
Demonstrated experience in admissions or prospective student recruitment
Experience developing relationships with community organizations, businesses, healthcare providers, or government agencies
Special Instructions
This position requires travel for student recruitment events and evening and weekend hours as needed.
