We have an exciting opportunity for medical oncologists with an interest in health services research to join our growing team at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). Join us to improve the quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency of patient care, and to eliminate health disparities through research and innovation. The primary clinical practice will include inpatient, consult and ambulatory care, as well as teaching responsibilities with medical students, residents and fellows. With an emphasis on outcomes, quality, and cost, health services research is becoming essential to guiding patient care and redefining best practices in academic medicine.  The UW provides interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research programs that support a wide variety of outcomes-focused research, including comparative effectiveness research, qualitative research, health care disparities, performance and safety in patient care, patterns of care, quality of life, and decision analysis.  

The candidate will also have access to many shared resources and opportunities to collaborate with the UW Center for Health Disparities Research group (CHDR), Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Group (WISOR) and others, in addition to researchers at UWCCC, the VA Hospital and throughout the UW-Madison campus.

MD, DO or equivalent

Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine

Must have completed an accredited fellowship training program in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Medical Oncology

Must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license
