The Americas Biofuels and feedstock pricing team is dynamic and responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the region.
The Impact: We are seeking a price specialist who can drive our benchmark ethanol assessments in United States. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to S&P Global Commodity Insights Biofuel and feedstock pricing team through leading coverage of an essential market and growing industry.

The successful candidate would contribute to an face paced, and dynamic team based in Houston and Sao Paulo that works across the biofuels and feedstocks markets.
Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment opportunities across the biofuels markets.
Responsibilities:
Leading market coverage on ethanol in United States, reporting on daily physical trade activity including as bids, offers and other relevant information
Building and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process and developing a close business relationship with market participants
Identifying opportunities to refine methodology and help launch new price assessments
Writing daily and weekly commentaries and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices
Providing support on other biofuels and feedstocks markets as may be required
Creating news stories and multi-media coverage
Representing Platts at industry events as well as in face-to-face meetings with market participants to drive market adoption
Work closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial, analytics and news.
What We're Looking For: Basic Qualifications:
Two years' experience of biofuels market or comparable agriculture market, accompanying awareness of exchange traded derivatives a benefit
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel
Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style, and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
Existing network of contacts in the industry is a benefit
Fluent in English
Excellent English writing skills
Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
Existing network of contacts in the industry preferred
Additional Spanish or Portuguese language skills would be an advantage.
Degree in Agronomics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business or similar
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $49,400 to $98,200 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
