The Role: Senior Manager, Web Development The Location : Virtual- US (Eastern Time) Grade : 12 (for internal use only)
The Team: The 'Cupcake' team forms the foundation behind the UI center of excellence within our Network, Regulatory, and Solutions (NRS) business backed by 1200+ engineers. This UI/UX Design system is the central piece that helps to streamline pixel-perfect UI designs into one consolidated platform to accelerate front-end development work.

20 different products are already on the Cupcake platform
16 additional products to be on-boarded in 2023
Our design system yields over $65k in cost savings simply by being aligned to Cupcake for the new SPGI Branding themes.

Responsibilities:
You will be the Development Manager over at least one scrum team that is responsible for designing and developing front-end components for multi-tiered Web applications.
Work with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical designs and then plan sprints that deliver quality components and products on time.
Collaborate with product owners and developers to further the value proposition of our applications.
Rapid development and delivery of features and functionality that quickly impact the business
Full automation of test and delivery systems to mature our delivery pipeline
Optimization of preferred practices to drive improvement of code and processes
Provide technical guidance and oversight to your team.
Review pull requests with both attention to detail and an eye on the big picture.
A successful candidate is someone who wants to continually enhance the knowledge base of themselves and the team as it relates to Web-based technologies, Software Development Processes, and company standards.
Design and develop front-end components for multi-tiered Web applications
What We're Looking For: Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in web technologies in HTML and CSS
5+ years of extensive development experience in JavaScript or TypeScript
Deep proficiency in Front End Engineering
Expertise and experience with Design Systems
Excellent collaboration skills, and a desire to share. Be comfortable giving demos. Enjoy working directly with testers and product owners
Someone who enjoys and is passionate about mentoring. Promoting engineering excellence both on your team and across the larger development organization is second nature.
Someone who wants to grow and enjoys learning
A background in development in Web Development
Strong problem-solving skills. You know how to unblock and get things done.
Expertise and experience in tools, like GitHub, JIRA, and TeamCity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular, Ember, React
Knowledge and experience with Figma
Financial services / fin-tech experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $103,800 - $206,350. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
