The Role: Lead Software Engineer The Location : New York, NY; Boston, MA; Princeton, NJ (Hybrid) Grade : 11

The Impact: S&P Global is building the next generation of Investment Management applications on its flagship web platforms. Focusing on Portfolio Analytics, the new applications will feature advanced time-series computations, simulations, and interactive data visualization.
What's in it for you: As part of the team, you'll work with a variety of languages and platforms including the JVM, .NET, SQL Server, and TypeScript/JavaScript. We incorporate Functional Programming paradigms into several layers of our technology stack, so this is an excellent opportunity to learn or grow these skills. This role includes design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of product features, including collaboration with other development teams, product designers, and QA.
Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance functionality as described by product designers
Document and refactor code to ensure scalability and maintainability
Collaborate with QA to ensure the best possible quality in the final product
Collaborate with other teams in the organization to integrate functionality across multiple products
What We're Looking For: Basic Qualifications:
3-8 years of Java and/or C# experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
SQL experience
Able to work well individually and with a team
Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, self-starter, and results-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
TypeScript and/or JavaScript and CSS experience is nice to have
Scala or other functional programming experience is nice to have (F#,
Haskell, PureScript, etc.)
Passionate, smart, and articulate developer
Interest and experience in finance would be a plus
Compensation and Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,700 - $170,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
