The Director ofGrants Administration directs and manages the grant post-award processes andensures regulatory compliance by strengthening the management of grant-fundedprojects. This position works closely with grants development staff, principalinvestigators, fiscal and HR staff, grant program officers, and othersthroughout the implementation of grants awarded to the College.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact at the College for post-award grant administration;
- Monitor completion of programmatic requirements of grants, which includes adherence to deadlines, fidelity of work plan, monitoring of timely and appropriate expenditures, and requesting amendments and extensions, if necessary;
- Work with principal investigators, program directors, and administrators to communicate and comply with funding terms and conditions for all post-award implementation and reporting;
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff;
- Serve as the primary contact at the College for negotiating awards, completing no-cost extensions, facilitating carryover funds, changes in key personnel, and other project modifications;
- Coordinate grant budget awards with the Fiscal Affairs Office;
- Process award documents, draft sub-agreements, memoranda of understanding, and similar documents;
- Facilitate a smooth transition of grants from development to implementation and from evaluation to closeout, including assisting with startup, evaluation, and closeout of grant funded projects;
- Provide grants management training and guidance to principal investigators, and administrators to facilitate grant projects within an ethical and appropriate compliance framework;
- Analyze, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local government and private funder statutes, rules, and regulations regarding grant administration;
- Establish the College's grant policies and procedures to adhere to federal and state regulations including creating and regularly updating the Grants Management Handbook;
- Develop materials and provides training and oversight to facilitate the preparation of reports and documentation required by grantors;
- In collaboration with the Fiscal Affairs Office, ensure compliance with agency requirements regarding disbarred vendors, purchasing regulations, equipment inventory, and closing documents, including grant reports;
- In coordination with the Fiscal Affairs Office, respond to audit requests for grant-related reports, documentation, and questions;
- Coordinate internal programmatic grant audits to ensure compliance;
- Prepare and distribute reports as required, including completion of quarterly checkpoint reports to ensure that all recordkeeping, reporting requirements, and restrictions are met;
- Work with other departments, monitor in-kind obligations and time and effort reporting;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field;
- Three (3) years' experience and/or training in grants/contracts administration management, and financial management, accounting, or related field;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal laws and guidelines for administration of Federally funded grant projects including OMB Circulars and EDGAR;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements that govern grants administration;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under deadline pressure and changing priorities;
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening or weekend assignments;
- Ability to solve problems creatively in order to meet organizational goals and objectives;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 95,000.00 Annual Salary
