About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager to support the Customized Portfolio Services (CPS) Enhanced Asset Management (EAM) team within the Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) division. The Senior Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager will be responsible for the overall asset management of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans/investments, including complex and/or high touch loans/investments, with little need for detailed supervision. In this role, you will:
Review, analyze and report on property performance
Conduct or review, analyze and report on property physical condition inspections and compliance audits
Identify issues and assess, analyze, and report balance sheet and investor risk
Review and process reserve requests or equity capital contribution requests
Craft strategies and solutions for borrower/developer/general partner consent requests
Interact with borrowers/developers/general partners, investors and other internal and external stakeholders
Review, understand and interpret a wide array of loan/investment documents
Understand all aspects of the real estate transaction including the loan/investment structure, borrower/partnership/LLC structure, property, management and market
Serve as a mentor to assigned Credit Analysts

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of managing a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) book of business
Demonstrate a high-level skill set that encompasses financial analysis, real estate and property management operations, market knowledge, knowledge of mortgage and legal documents, and credit risk analysis
Familiarity with highly structured loan transactions
Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit and income producing real estate
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read and understand complex commercial real estate loan documentation and securitization documents, including pooling and servicing agreements and related documentation
Ability to multi-task, achieve tight timeframes, problem-solve, and stay organized
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel
BS/BA Degree or higher
Job Expectations:
Ability to work in excess of the standard 40 hour work week
