Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Assistant Director for Housing Systems provides vision, leadership, and comprehensive management of all Campus Living & Learning housing technology systems and services. This individual serves as a member of the department's leadership team, supervises the Senior Coordinator for Communications and Housing Systems, and communicates effectively with a variety of university constituents.
A Bachelor's degree, four years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and six years of relevant work experience are preferred.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and SQL.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Housing Systems
Provide vision, leadership, and comprehensive management of StarRez Web and MyHousing Portal. This should include support and development to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence of the software.
Research emerging housing technology trends. Develop and maintain an educational model identifying and addressing CL&L housing system needs. Recommend and implement new technologies to improve the residential experience.
Document CL&L's technical processes.
Evaluate and respond to housing network outages, security concerns, and other crisis situations as they arise.
Software and web design knowledge to facilitate website management in alignment with Baylor standards.
Knowledge of data analytics in web management space.
Marketing and Communication
Provide direction for departmental digital communication and marketing in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator for Communications and Housing Systems.
Ensure departmental communications (website, social media, digital signage, and email marketing) are updated and meeting resident needs in partnership with the Senior Coordinator for Communications and Housing Systems.
Supervision and Training
Directly supervise the Senior Coordinator for Communications and Housing Systems. Provide direction and support through weekly meetings and project collaboration.
Provide support and training for the ongoing development and implementation of CL&L housing systems to professional and student CL&L staff.
Provide support to Senior Coordinator for Communications and Housing Systems as they utilize CS Gold, CBORD, and Persona to manage access to CL&L's residential communities.
Participate in relevant divisional and departmental meetings, trainings, activities, and initiatives.
ITS Liaison
Serve as the liaison with Baylor's Information Technology team on initiatives requiring Baylor's IT support and governance.
Coordinate with ITS to provide training, instruction, implementation, and support for housing systems with Campus Living & Learning.
Evaluate and respond to housing network outages, security concerns, and other crisis situations as they arise.
Represent CL&L on the Area Technology Directors team.
