The Cyber Range Manager will be responsible forthe technical and business operations of The MassBay Cyber Security Center of Excellence(CCE), including the oversight of cyber range activities, such as planningtraining exercises, establishing relationships, collaborating with internal andexternal stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient operation of technicalinfrastructure and resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong backgroundin cybersecurity, experience managing technical teams, and a passion forcybersecurity training and development. The Cyber Range Manager will workclosely with the Project Relationship Coordinator on events.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement training programs for cybersecurity professionals and other stakeholders, including government agencies, municipalities, private companies, and academic institutions;
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that training exercises meet their needs and objectives;
- Manage cyber range scheduling, training, and performance management;
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cybersecurity training and development;
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers and stakeholders;
- Plan and organize cybersecurity events and workshops for students, faculty, and community members;
- Establish partnerships with area local high schools, community organizations, and businesses to promote cybersecurity awareness and education;
- Collaborate with faculty and instructors to establish cyber range operations and assist faculty with incorporating cyber range scenarios and/or labs into courses;
- Serve as a liaison between the cyber range and external stakeholders, including government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners;
- Monitor training exercises and provide feedback to participants and stakeholders;
- Prepare reports and presentations on cyber range activities, metrics, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders;
- Participate in business development activities, including customer engagement and proposal development;
- Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support cyber range operations, programming, and outreach activities.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity;
- 3+ years of experience managing technical teams;
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies;
- Experience with networking and system administration;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously;
- Event scheduling and planning experience;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Knowledge of standards and practices related to information security, including state and federal regulatory requirements related to HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action and workforce diversity;
- Experience working in a diverse environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
- Experience with cyber range or training program development and management;
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+;
- Budget planning and administration;
- Experience working in a cyber Security Operations Center (SOC);
- Knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and procedures.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - 90,000.00 Annual Salary
