Supports the Administrator in fulfilling MARAD’s responsibilities in connection with the acquisition, maintenance, disposition management of a reserve fleet of vessels for sealift support for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), and Emergency Support Functions.  Formulates, oversees and manages policies and programs for the operation, maintenance and repair of Maritime Administration-owned or acquired ships.
