The appointment is slated to begin in August 2025.
We seek a motivated candidate with a Ph.D. in operations research, business analytics, management science, operations management, information systems, data science, industrial engineering, or a closely related quantitative field, from an accredited higher education institution. ABDs or candidates in the final stages of their doctoral dissertation will be considered with the understanding that they must complete their degree within one year of the start of their appointment in order to continue employment after the first year. The successful candidate is expected to successfully deliver courses that span from introduction to spreadsheet modeling, data analysis, and Python programming, to more advanced analytics courses such as data mining, optimization, or simulation. Faculty will also have the opportunity to develop and offer new courses of interest to support the current and growing instructional needs in our business analytics major & minor, as well as in university-wide electives. The standard teaching load at Bucknell University is five courses per academic year.
