What Youll Do
Lead and Execute Audits:Plan and conduct a diverse range of internal audits, evaluating operational and business processes for robust internal controls and compliance with policies and regulations.
Identify and Mitigate Risks:Pinpoint areas of process risk and recommend actionable steps for improvement.
Drive Continuous Improvement:Conduct follow-up reviews to verify management has implemented effective corrective actions.
Enhance Processes:Identify process gaps in internal controls and efficiencies, providing value-added recommendations to senior leaders on campus.

About the Iowa Board of Regents The Iowa Board of Regents, is a group of nine citizens who govern three public educational institutions in the state through policymaking, coordination, and oversight, as provided by law. The institutions include Iowa's three public universities the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa.
About the Office of Internal Audit The Office of Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. We partner with management to enhance and protect organizational value by providing an independent and objective assessment of operational efficiencies and controls.
Required Qualifications
A bachelors degree in a business, accounting or information technology field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One to three years applicable experience.
Ability to critically assess business policies, procedures, and practices.
Proficiency in professional verbal and written communication.
Experience with data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes.
Capable of project management to meet required deadlines.
Sufficient knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
Desired Qualifications
At least one year of audit experience.
CPA, CMA, CIA or CISA designation.
Extensive knowledge of internal audit processes.
Basic proficiency applying organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Knowledge of Workday functionality and controls.
Salary Range $55,000 to $70,000
