Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Outreach Programs and Special Projects, this role oversees specific regions and projects in partnership with alumni volunteers while managing the communications and operational needs for the regional volunteer program. As a member of the Outreach team, the Assistant Director provides support to regional volunteers across the country while helping to plan alumni programming that aligns with university priorities. This includes partnership opportunities surrounding new student and family programming as well as athletics. This position will also create, manage and implement processes, procedures, organization and resources for the alumni volunteers as needed in collaboration with colleagues across campus. In collaboration with others within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team, he/she will assist with communications and marketing efforts for the regional volunteer program.

Plan, oversee and direct regional engagement opportunities based on the priorities of the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving.
Serve as the staff liaison to regional volunteers, including strategies that support volunteer identification, cultivation, and stewardship.
Maintain frequent communication with the volunteers and appropriate colleagues.
Manage event logistics, registration pages, metrics, and revenue/expenditures.
Staff regional events as needed.
Plan, manage and implement new student and family programming within the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving.
This includes serving as project manager for the New Student Send-off program.
Manage event logistics, email communications, metrics and revenue/expenditures for this program.
Build and maintain strong relationships across campus to create an effective engagement strategy for this audience.
Staff events as needed.
Develop and maintain all internal processes for the regional volunteer program.
Work closely with other team members to manage the monthly regional email process.
Assist with email builds, imagery, retrieval requests, and web updates.
Manage the regional social media channels.
Create and manage digital forms/surveys and create a process for post event follow up.
Organize materials, presentations and resources for the regional volunteers as needed.
Work collaboratively with other advancement colleagues, including athletics, to develop and implement effective alumni programming and engagement opportunities.
Coordinate event logistics for off-campus programs when appropriate.
