The Ohio State University College of Social Work invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of either Assistant, Associate, or Professor starting in Autumn 2025. The search committee is seeking candidates who will contribute to the diversity of scholarship, teaching, and service conducted at the college. While substantive expertise in health care social work, mental health and health disparities, autism/developmental disabilities, and military/veteran populations is desirable, we also welcome exceptional candidates in other areas.
We continue to enhance our capacity in research methods and will consider candidates with expertise in quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and technology-based data collection and analysis.
We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring students, particularly students from different backgrounds, including first- generation college students. The college provides innovative teaching options at the BSSW, MSW, and PhD levels including face-to-face, online (a/synchronous), and hybrid methods.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Doctoral Degree in Social Work or related area and demonstrated experience delivering effective, student-centered teaching.
Desired: Doctoral Degree with prior completion of a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and a minimum of two years post masters practice experience is preferred. Substantive expertise in health care social work, mental health and health disparities, autism/developmental disabilities, and research with military/veterans. Successful early/mid-career candidates will have a well-defined research agenda, evidence of high-quality scholarship, and a desire to benefit from the many supports and mentorship provided by the college to new faculty. Successful senior faculty candidates will have a track record of scholarly productivity and funded research, as well as evidence of their capacity to become leaders in the development of a shared vision of research, service, and instructional excellence at the college. Successful senior candidates will also be expected to serve as mentors to faculty and to students across the bachelor, master and doctoral levels.
