Job Description:
The Title IX Case Coordinator works closely and collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to ensure that a fair and equitable process is followed in managing and addressing issues of sex discrimination including sexual and relationship violence. Using best practices, the Title IX Case Coordinator will initiate supportive measures for students and coordinate with University partners to ensure ongoing follow-up with students involved in complaints alleging violation of Title IX, NYS law or University policies regarding sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, and other forms of gender/gender identity-based forms of discrimination in which a student is the respondent. The Case Coordinator is also responsible for managing cases involving the informal resolution process which includes the drafting of relevant paperwork, coordinating a resolution between parties and monitoring compliance with the resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the intake of complaints and use discernment to identify appropriate resolution processes and procedural protocols to be followed, overseeing supportive measures during and after the investigation, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the University promptly responds to complaints of discrimination particularly related to Title IX involving students.
• Manage a complex and challenging caseload ensuring timely and accurate documentation in case management system in accordance with university policies and procedures.
• Manage informal resolution process including creation of applicable documents and utilize shuttle diplomacy to bring parties to agreement.
• Monitor informal resolution compliance through completion.
• Provide ongoing information and updates about the complaint process to all parties.
• Assist in the preparation of annual reports summarizing the unit's response to and resolution of relevant complaints.
