Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. Position Overview
The Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Investigators addressing fundamentally important biological questions in any area of Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, or Genomics are encouraged to apply. Applicants with interest and expertise in imaging, quantitative biology, computational biology, multi-omics analyses or systems biology will be especially competitive.
Performance Objectives
Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active research program in their area of expertise and to support our commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree (PhD or MD) and at least two years of post-doctoral or equivalent experience. Exceptions to the required post-doctoral experience will be made for candidates holding graduate-to-faculty transition awards.
Desired: Applicants should have a strong record of research productivity, demonstrate the ability to develop a rigorous research program and be committed to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Molecular Genetics faculty collaborate within the Department as well as with faculty from other departments and colleges, and are active members of campus-wide focal groups, including the Center for RNA Biology and the NCI-designated James Comprehensive Cancer Center.
