Position Information: The Office of Civil Rights is dedicated to the prevention and remediation of discrimination and harassment, and to promoting and integrating the principles of equal opportunity and inclusive excellence at UCR. Civil Rights is responsible for UC Riverside's compliance with federal and state laws and University and campus policies and procedures regarding discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, including the UC Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH Policy) and the Anti-Discrimination Policy. The Complaint Resolution Officer supports this mission by addressing reports and concerns of discrimination and harassment on the basis of any protected category or characteristic including sex, gender, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, citizenship, genetic information or medical condition, military service/ protected veteran status, and age. Reporting to the Director of Complaint Resolution, the Complaint Resolution Officer works as part of a team with other Civil Rights Staff under the leadership of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Civil Rights. The incumbent will specialize in intake and assessment, working closely with students and employees who have reported discrimination or harassment, and will also conduct formal investigations. The Officer also supports prevention and education efforts.
The full salary range for the Complaint Resolution Officer is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $115,800 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Master of Social Work; advanced degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology or Forensic Psychology or similar) OR Juris Doctorate.
