Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Post-Award Research Administrator - Financial Analyst Team Lead plays a critical role in the financial administration of sponsored projects. Reporting to the Manager for Post-Award Financial Administration, this position is responsible for managing key post-award financial processes, including invoicing, financial reporting to sponsors, and ensuring compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements. In addition, the Team Lead provides guidance, mentorship, and oversight to financial analysts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all post-award financial activities.
Remote/hybrid work will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
A Bachelors degree and five years of relevant work experience are required. A Masters degree and seven years of relevant work experience are preferred.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong knowledge of federal regulations governing sponsored research (e.g., Uniform Guidance, NIH, NSF, DOE).
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA).

What You Will Do
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to financial analysts, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices in post-award financial management.
Review and oversee work prepared by financial analysts, offering feedback and ensuring accuracy before submission.
Serve as a point of escalation for complex post award issues.
Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the manager.
Financial Administration & Compliance:
Ensure the accurate and timely financial management of sponsored projects, including financial reporting; invoicing; following up on past due accounts receivable, award set up and maintenance; and processing modification of awards.
Interpret and apply federal, state, and sponsor regulations (e.g., Uniform Guidance, NIH, NSF, DOE) to ensure compliance.
Other:
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission\

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $90,000 - $95,000. The full salary range for this position classification is $74,260.16 - $122,529.27
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
