Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can showcase your skills in installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair? As a Control Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our building and campus operations run smoothly. You will work with a wide variety of complex HVAC systems, mechanical systems, control systems, alarm systems, and metering systems.

In this role, you will use all types of electronic and mechanical test equipment, apply creative troubleshooting techniques, and utilize personal computers and programming software. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our systems.

Additional Information:

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary:

$4,740 to $5,501 | Range 47G (Steps G - M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a two-year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee, OR four years of applicable experience in installation, repair, AND maintenance of electrical AND pneumatic control systems. Vocational OR trade school training in control mechanisms may be substituted, year-for-year, for work experience up to a maximum of two years.
  
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer knowledge in hardware and software applications, database, building automation technology, graphics, data acquisition, project file maintenance, record documentation, and client communication skills.
  
• Computer knowledge and skills specialized to building automation systems, specifically HVAC equipment, lighting, alarm systems connected to HVAC operation, etc.
