The Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering was founded in 1995 and quickly gained national recognition for its innovative multidisciplinary, project-based approach to engineering education, establishing itself as a national leader in engineering education. In 2013, the State of New Jersey designated Rowan University a comprehensive research university, and in 2017 our university was recognized as a Carnegie-classified research institution. During that period, Rowan Engineering doubled both its full-time faculty and student population, as well as started its engineering PhD programs. In 2017, we opened the doors of Engineering Hall and, in 2023, completed a full renovation of our original home, Rowan Hall. These projects tripled our available space and provided the College with state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities. The College currently enrolls over 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students in six departments and is home to five research centers. The Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering is located on the main campus in Glassboro, NJ (20 miles southeast of Philadelphia).
