As a member of the Office of Information Technology -Network Operations team, this individual provides timely and effective technicalsystem support required in the day-to-day operation of the colleges unifiedcommunication system and data network in support of our end-usercommunity. This involves monitoring andmaintaining the health and integrity of network and services both hosted andonsite in our Wellesley Hills campus, Framingham Health Sciences building, andthe Ashland Automotive Technology Center. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to our telephone/voice, faxing and printing related infrastructure in partnership with our managed service provider;
Perform troubleshooting and provide problem resolution solutions related to telephone, network and system administration issues;
Provide support to structured data cabling, patch panels and other related data cable infrastructure;
Monitor, update and resolve NetOps IT Help Desk support tickets. Provide escalation support to End User Services support staff;
Provide assistance monitoring the health, and integrity of our virtual server and application server infrastructure. Including periodic review and installation of available system updates and application upgrades;
Perform user account creations, terminations, maintenance and archiving;
Other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have at least(A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experiencein electronic data processing of which (B) at least two years must have been inwork in which the major duties included computer systems analysis, or (C) anyequivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. An Associate's degree with a major in thefield of data processing or computer programming may be substituted for amaximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
II. A Bachelor's degree with a major in thefield of data processing or computer and/or information science may besubstituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
III. A Graduate degree with a major in the fieldof data processing or computer and/or information science may be substitutedfor a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two yearfull-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree grantingbusiness or vocational/technical school above the high school level with amajor in the field of computer programming may be substituted for a maximum ofone year of the required (A) experience.*
V. An official transcript from a recognizedbusiness or vocational/ technical school as evidence of completion of a programconsisting of at least 650 hours of instruction in the field of computerprogramming may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A)experience.
VI. Graduation from the data processing courseof a recognized vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximumof one year of the required (A) experience.
*Education toward such a degreeor diploma will be prorated based on the proportion of the requirementsactually completed.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for morethan two years of the required (A) experience.

QualificationsRequired at the Time of Hire:
Knowledge of the types, concepts, techniques and applications of electronic data processing and equipment;
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computer hardware;
Knowledge of methods and techniques of computer systems analysis and design;
Knowledge of terminology, codes and standard abbreviations used in electronic data processing;
Knowledge of the principles of computer systems analysis;
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of electronic data processing;
Knowledge of the types, availability and applications of electronic data processing operating systems;
Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in organizing work processes and functions to facilitate the use of computer methods;
Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
Ability to prepare and use flow charts and diagrams;
Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of electronic data processing data, to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations;
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
Ability to work in a team setting;
Ability to give oral and written instructions in a precise, understandable manner;
Ability to determine proper format for assembling items of information in accordance with established procedures;
Ability to establish rapport and deal effectively with others;

3+ years' experience supporting a Unified Communications solution such as Cisco UCM, Unity, Variphy CDR reporting and Imagicle;
2+ years' experience supporting and administration of Microsoft Active Directory Services
1+ years' experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting Cisco LAN/WAN network infrastructure devices in a large production service environment;
Previous experience working with structured cabling such as pulling cable, terminating cable ends, using telecommunication tools;
Previous experience using MS Office/M365 administration Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Hyper-V or VMware;
Previous experience working with Cisco security tools (AMP, Firepower, Umbrella, Threatgrid);
Ability to work occasional after-hours support as authorized;
Ability to work onsite as scheduled and travel between three campus locations with remote work benefits.
Salary Range: AFSCME Unit 1, Grade 23 Step 1: $69,551.04-$70,942.04annually. Appointments from outside the bargaining unit begin at Step 1 of therange.
